Register 2020 and 2022 apps for discounts in X apps
With the new license options available in version 13 of SignalScope X and SoundMeter X, we can finally offer discounts on perpetual license upgrades to customers who purchased any of our 2020 and 2022 apps from the App Store. We recently published updates to all these apps that support creating and signing into a Faber Account. Once signed in, you can register the app with your Faber Account. Then, you can sign into your Faber Account in SignalScope X or SoundMeter X and purchase a corresponding perpetual license with a substantial discount.
App registration with a Faber Account is supported in the following apps:
- SignalScope Pro 2022
- SignalScope Advanced 2022
- SignalScope Basic 2022
- SoundMeter Pro 2022
- SignalScope Pro 2020
- SignalScope Advanced 2020
- SignalScope Basic 2020
- SoundMeter Pro 2020
Cross-platform perpetual licenses for SignalScope X may also be purchased at FaberAcoustical.com/store (including discounted upgrade licenses) and activated in SignalScope X with your Faber Account. (SoundMeter X perpetual licenses are only sold via in-app purchase within the app.)
The Upgrade Process
As an example, if you have previously purchased SignalScope Advanced 2020, the process is as follows (also see screenshots, below):
- Launch the previous app (e.g. SignalScope Advanced 2020)
- Tap/click on the Info button in the upper righthand corner
- Tap/click on Faber Account
- Sign In (you’ll need to create an account, first, if you haven’t already done so)
- Tap/click on the “Register This App” button
- Confirm that your account information indicates that this app is now registered
- Exit the app
- Launch version 13 of the X app (e.g. SignalScope X)
- Tap/click on the Info button in the upper righthand corner
- Sign into your Faber Account, if you haven’t already
- In the Info menu, tap/click on the in-app store item (with the shopping cart icon)
- Scroll down to perpetual licenses and tap on Shop for Perpetual Licenses
- Verify the discount has been applied to the corresponding perpetual license (e.g. Advanced Tool Set 2026)
- You can now purchase the upgrade license with discount pricing

Note that these discounts are available for perpetual licenses only–not for subscriptions.
For 2022 apps, version 12.7.4 or later is required for Faber Account access. For 2020 apps, version 11.5.20 or later is required.
