Cross Correlation Problem

edited December 1969 in Electroacoustics Toolbox
The cross correlation display seems to normalize so that the largest positive peak is 1.0 and the display always goes from -1.0 to +1.0.  This is a problem if correlating signals that are out of phase (the peak negative correlation sails off the bottom of the scale).  It would be better to compute an actual correlation coefficient, which normalizes on the square root of the product of the autocorrelations at zero delay.  Then autoscale on the absolute value.
