Version 3.1.7 is a maintenance release that improves the stability of the application.

    SignalSuite 3.1.6 released

    • The recent projects menu gets updated properly again.
    • Some AppleScript behaviors were corrected.
    • This release includes other minor bug fixes, stability enhancements, and cosmetic refinements.

    SignalSuite 3.1.5 released

    • Version 3.1.5 improves compatibility with Snow Leopard (Mac OS X, version 10.6).
    • Memory management and stability have been improved.
    • Product updates can now be automatically retrieved and installed.

    SignalSuite 3.1 released

    • The new Meter Bridge tool enables output signal level monitoring with various time and frequency weightings.
    • Channel selection now relies on checkboxes and radio buttons for more intuitive operation.
    • The Signal Generator tool now supports processing the output signals with up to three Audio Units plug-ins.

    SignalSuite 2.0.5 natively supports Intel processors

    • SignalSuite 2 is now available as a Universal Binary.
    • A bug which prevented the logarithmic chirp signal from being generated properly, under certain circumstances, has been corrected.

    • SignalSuite 2 now includes a French translation of the user interface and documentation
    • Includes an updated registration engine

    SignalSuite 2.0.3 released

    • Corrects a compatibility issue with certain audio output devices that support both single and dual-channel audio streams (like the Griffin iMic).

     

    August 24, 2005

    SignalSuite 2.0.2 released

    • Data buffer lengths are kept to powers of 2, if possible. This eliminates a popping sound with certain audio devices (like the Echo Indigo IO).

     

    August 1, 2005

    SignalSuite 2.0.1 released

    • SignalSuite 2 now runs properly on versions of Mac OS 10.3 prior to 10.3.9
    • Fixes a bug in which the actual sample rate of the output device was not updated

    SignalSuite 2 released

    • New and improved user interface, completely re-written
    • Save signals of arbitrary duration directly to a standard audio file (AIFF, WAVE, or SDII)
    • Control SignalSuite via AppleScript
    • New Maximum Length Sequence (MLS) and Pseudorandom Noise generators (with white or pink filtering)
    • New Swept Cosine signal, phase-locked with Swept Sine
    • Menu commands for turning the various generators on or off
    • Preferences option to alter panning behavior
    • Automatic (or manual) check for SignalSuite updates
    • Support for time-limited serial numbers (see store)

    Version 1.2.1 released

    • Non-sinusoidal periodic signals now incorporate 16x oversampling to reduce aliasing.
    • Adjusting the swept sine volume no longer corrupts the swept sine pan setting.
    • A means for cloning registered copies of SignalSuite has been added for those who purchase volume licenses.

    Version 1.2 released

    • Version 1.2 adds support for audio devices with multiple, non-interleaved audio data streams (including multi-channel devices and the Echo Indigo io)
    • Enhanced audio device output format controls
    • Option to invert polarity for either or both output channels

     

    July 19, 2004

    SignalSuite version 1.1.2 released

    • This version is a maintenance release which corrects several issues with prior versions of SignalSuite.  Most notably, input devices will no longer appear in the audio output device menu and proper phase relationships are maintained between the two periodic signals when changing waveform types.

    SignalSuite version 1.1.1 released

    • Values entered into text boxes are now applied when clicking outside the text box, rather than just when pressing the Enter, Return, or Tab keys.
    • A few other minor bugs have been fixed.

     

    March 3, 2004

    SignalSuite version 1.1 released

    • A swept sine (chirp) generator has been added
    • The three types of signal generators (random noise, periodic, and swept sine) have been placed in separate windows
    • A main control window determines which of the three signal generators is visible
    • A master Start/Pause button allows all generators to be turned on or off simultaneously
    • SignalSuite can be started or paused from the popup menu of the dock icon
    • A Master Volume control has been added
