SoundMeter 1.6 includes a signal generator
By: Faber Acoustical
Faber Acoustical released SoundMeter 1.6 into the iPhone app store on Friday, November 20.
What's new in version 1.6:
- SoundMeter now includes a signal generator, which is capable of producing white noise, pink noise, or a single tone.
- Screen auto-lock can be disabled or enabled in SignalScope with a switch.
- SoundMeter now supports audio play-through and DC-blocking filter options.
- Input device changes (e.g. plugging/unplugging headset microphones) are handled better, particularly on iPod touch devices.
- SoundMeter’s bar meter displays are cosmetically more consistent across iPhone OS versions and devices.
- The second input channel of a stereo audio input can be used for sound level measurements. Each input channel supports an independent sensitivity calibration.
- Impulse time weighting has been corrected--it now operates within the tolerances specified for Class 1 sound level meters in IEC 61672-1.
- GPS coordinates are reported with greater precision.
- Accessing Help files no longer requires internet access.
SoundMeter is available for download on the app store for $19.99.
