SignalScope Pro 1.1 offers direct selection of FFT frequency resolution

By: Faber Acoustical

SignalScope Pro 1.1 appeared on the iTunes App Store on October 19, 2009. Version 1.1 adds new features to the Signal Generator and FFT Analyzer, in addition to correcting several minor bugs and cosmetic issues.

New in version 1.1:

  • The Signal Generator tool now includes alias-free square, triangle, and sawtooth waveforms.
  • Frequency resolution can be specified directly for the FFT Analyzer, rather than selecting the number of spectral lines.
  • Input device changes (e.g. plugging/unplugging headset microphones) are handled better, particularly on iPod touch devices, which may have no audio input source at all.
  • Data plots no longer have missing borders on the iPhone 3GS.
  • The Signal Generator's sweep type is properly saved between launches of the app.
  • Accessing Help files no longer requires internet access.
  • Other cosmetic issues have been addressed.

SignalScope Pro 1.1 is currently available for download on the App Store for $74.99:
